Founded in 2015 by Dr. Leonard N. Moore, the Black Student-Athlete Summit brings together student-athletes, professionals, and leaders from across the country for conversations and experiences that extend far beyond competition. The Summit grew out of his longstanding work mentoring and advocating for Black student-athletes and helping institutions better support their success beyond athletics. This year, the Summit was held on the campus of Oregon University in Eugene, Oregon from May 20th to May 23rd. It was truly an honor and privilege to help document the people, perspectives, and moments that have made this Summit an experience centered on culture, community, growth, and the future of the student-athlete.
